For Lisa... Your Sneak Peek | Hampton Roads Family Photography

Whew. Lisa, I owe you an apology... I meant to have this up a few days ago, but sick kiddos and sick (and very pathetic) husband = no time to do anything but bleach, clean, and bleach and clean... heavenly.

So here we go...

This is Lisa.

So much history I don't know where to begin. I started writing a 'how we met and how it all began post' but it was sooo long. Delete-delete-delete. And then I sat here staring at the screen... with the cursor blinking at me as if to say 'hurry it up woman. think of something already. she's, like, your best friend. come on now. get writin'...'

Evil cursors.

So. Lisa and I have been friends since the summer after our sophomore year when I lived in the apartment next to hers. I was pathetic, under-age, and poor that summer... I had no car so was walking a little over a mile to and from work everyday. In the Charleston heat. And she still talked to me. I asked her to drive me to the mall one day because I needed to buy some shoes to go with a dress I was going to wear to a wedding... and bought the single ugliest pair of blue pumps known to man. They were cheap (and hey it was 1997 ok?). And she still talked to me. A bunch of us would all pile into a few cars on the weekends and drive to the beach to bake... afterwards I'd change into this ugly mid-calf length jersey dress that was really comfortable. And did I mention how ugly it was? Right. And she still talked to me.

AND THEN. After graduation, when we were all waiting tables and I was conned...I mean... convinced to make the move to fine-dining, I (well with the help of her then boyfriend, now husband, Devon) dragged her into the madness with me. And she still talked to me. We would PRACTICE at home. Devon... Lisa, I am outing us here. We PRACTICED our service at home. I think there's pictures somewhere to prove this totally mortifying event.

Anyway, I'll stop there. Suffice it say, Lisa's been an amazing friend. She and I have the same sense of humor... she is the laid-back to my neurotic, and we are both nothing if not a little bitter and sarcastic. :)

I love you girl. You too Big D... no one else can call me Chun-chu-leen and sing Happy Birthday on the answering machine like you... :)

Here you go guys...

Until next time,

~ K
